Chiropractor
Dr. Gentile earned his Doctor of Chiropractic at Life University in Marietta, Ga., where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He has continued his post-graduate education to become a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) — making him one of a few extremity chiropractic specialists in the area. Dr. Gentile has extensive education and experience in treating all levels of athletic needs as well as musculoskeletal conditions, and his academic foundation in Exercise Science directly informs the sports performance and injury recovery programs that set Indian Trail Chiropractic & Rehab apart from conventional chiropractic practices in the region.
A Leader in Biomechanics and Sports Performance
Dr. Gentile has advanced training in treating soft tissue injuries, including full body certification in Active Release Technique and Graston Technique. He is a long-standing member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist — credentials that give his clinical approach a depth of athletic and biomechanical expertise that most chiropractic providers in the Charlotte area simply cannot match.
Prior to attending chiropractic school, Dr. Gentile spent 10 years as a minor professional ice hockey referee and served as the director at Velocity Sports Performance before starting his own sports performance company — working with athletes ranging from middle school through all four major professional sports leagues. This hands-on experience is the foundation of our sports performance optimization programs, and it is why Dr. Gentile was quickly recognized as one of the area’s premier performance coaches and biomechanics specialists.
He has consulted with local athletic organizations, universities, and professional sports teams — and has been a guest lecturer at several local universities on topics including injury assessment, movement evaluation, corrective exercise, rehabilitation, biomechanics, and sports performance. These are the same principles that now drive every program at Indian Trail Chiropractic & Rehab, from our kinetisense movement screening technology to our functional movement program that helps patients of all ages move with greater efficiency, strength, and confidence.
Dr. Gentile believes life is an athletic event and that proper movement is essential to function — whether you’re getting in and out of a chair, climbing stairs, or competing in a sport. This philosophy is embedded in everything from our corrective exercise programs to our performance and biomechanical assessment services, each designed around a single conviction: optimize movement, optimize performance, optimize life.
